Laugarvatn Fontana is the place for relaxation and an authentic Icelandic experience. Laugarvatn Fontana is located only one hour drive from Reykjavik, in the middle of the Golden Circle, on the black beach of beautiful Laugarvatn Lake. Be sure not to miss a visit to our Geothermal Bakery to taste the delicious rye bread that grandmothers of the area have been baking in the hot springs of Laugarvatn for decades. In our Local Kitchen we offer lunch and dinner buffets, or have a soup and a slice of freshly baked rye bread and smoked trout caught in the lake.

Opening hours: Laugarvatn Fontana is open every day Sundays through Saturdays 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Geothermal bakery tour is every day at 10:15 am, 11:45 am and 2:30 pm.
